Brewers solid in shut out over Pirates

PITTSBURGH (WITI)-- The Brewers forced the Pirates to fall one game behind St. Louis in the NL Central by shutting them out 4-o Thursday night in Pittsburgh.

Starter Yovani Gallardo earned his 10th win on the season going 7 innings pitched allowing 6 hits with 5 K's and 1 walk.

Brandon Kintzler added some solid relief allowing no hits over 2 innings pitched.

Jonathan Lucroy was solid as always with 2 RBIs, a single in the top of the of the 1st and a sac fly in the top of the 8th.

Rookie Khris Davis continues to shine adding an RBI double in the top of the 2nd. Davis is hitting .361 in his last 10 games.

Aramis Ramirez contributed as well, picking up his 9th homer of the year in the top of the 4th.
