Police investigate three shooting incidents Wednesday night

MILWAUKEE (WITI) -- Milwaukee police on Wednesday night, September 4th were on the scene of two separate shooting incidents that occurred within hours of one another.

The first occurred near 18th and Center.

Milwaukee police say a 22-year-old man, who has been identified as Samuel Roby, and a 20-year-old woman were victims in this shooting. Both were conveyed to the hospital -- where Roby later died.

Police say Roby man was walking back to his vehicle, when the suspect(s) approached in a dark colored, possibly four-door vehicle and fired multiple shots.

Police say Roby has a lengthy arrest record with MPD going back to 2007.  His history includes arrests for Possession with Intent to Deliver (Cocaine), 1st Degree Recklessly Endangering Safety, Carrying a Concealed Weapon, Endangering Safety by Use of a Dangerous Weapon, Armed Robbery, Disorderly Conduct, Child Abuse, Bail Jumping, and Threatening a Witness.



The second shooting occurred near 34th and Wright around 8:10 p.m.

Police say a 39-year-old woman suffered a graze wound.

No one is in custody.



The third shooting happened around 10:30 p.m. near 36th and Clarke.

Police say a 16-year-old was shot and was taken to the hospital for treatment of multiple gunshot wounds.

Police say the victim was involved in an argument prior to the shooting, regarding a girlfriend.

Police believe the suspect is an associate of the victim.
