Franklin police arrest two after Walmart theft, police pursuit

FRANKLIN (WITI) -- Franklin police have announced the arrest of two female suspects accused of shoplifting from the Walmart store on S. 27th Street.

Police say the theft occurred early Sunday morning, September 8th, just before 2:00 a.m.

Police say about $1,650 worth of merchandise was stolen from the Walmart store.

A responding officer located the suspect vehicle in the area, and attempted to stop the vehicle. The vehicle failed to stop, and fled from police for approximately 2.5 miles, at which point the vehicle spun out, and struck a street sign at West College Ave. and South Lake Drive in Cudahy.

That's when the two female suspects were taken into custody without incident, according to police.

Charges against the suspects are pending.
