Gindl leads Brewers past Cubs, 6-1

MILWAUKEE -- Caleb Gindl's big night powered the Brewers past the Cubs in the opener of a four-game series during the final week of home games at Miller Park this season.  Gindl hit an rbi triple and later added a two-run homer to grab the offensive starring role for Milwaukee.

The other big performer on Monday night was pitcher Wily Peralta, who worked through six innings, yielding an unearned run and striking out seven.

After this series concludes, the Cardinals come to town for the final home series of the season over the weekend.
