Waukesha investigators seek clues in cold case from the 1950s

WAUKESHA CO. (WITI) -- The Waukesha County Sheriff’s Department is investigating a letter that was received which states that in the late 1950’s, possibly fall of 1957 or 1958, a homicide occurred near a low-lying bridge on Okauchee Lake.

The author of the letter describes the victim as a white male with dark hair wearing blue jeans and a dark-colored jacket, and may have operated a truck at the time of the incident. The letter also suggests that the victim may have had affiliations with airplanes.  Additionally the letter stated that the suspect’s name is “Gordie”.

Investigators would like to speak with anyone that may have any information regarding this alleged homicide, the identity of “Gordie” or any unexplained “missing person case”.
