18 states see gasoline prices below $3 per gallon
MILWAUKEE (WITI) — 18 states are seeing gas prices at $2.99/gallon or less. Unfortunately, Wisconsin is not among them. The price per gallon in southeast Wisconsin is as low as $3.16/gallon.
St. Louis consumers are seeing some stations at $2.79; while Tulsa has some stations at $2.85 per gal. In Lubbock on Tuesday, consumers can pay as low as $2.89 or as high as $3.59 per gal.
“While the direction of current prices reflect what we can expect for Q4 fuel prices, it’s certainly encouraging to see how many states already have stations with regular gas available for under $3,” said Patrick DeHaan, senior petroleum analyst, GasBuddy.
GasBuddy operates over 250 websites that track gasoline prices at over 140,000 gasoline stations in the United States and Canada. In addition, GasBuddy offers a free app (named one of the ’50 best 2013 iPhone apps by Time magazine) which has been downloaded over 25 million times to help motorists find the lowest gasoline prices in their area.
