Miley Cyrus hits the stage at BMO Harris Bradley Center Sunday night

MILWAUKEE (WITI) -- Miley Cyrus makes a stop in Milwaukee at the BMO Harris Bradley Center on Sunday night, March 9th as part of her Bangerz North American Tour.

Sunday night's show started at 7:00 p.m. -- and marked Miley's first show in Milwaukee since 2009.

Miley Cyrus is the daughter of country singer Billy Ray Cyrus. She rose to prominence as a teen star after being cast in the Disney Channel series Hannah Montana.

Miley Cyrus has released the following albums:

In 2013, Miley Cyrus hired Larry Rudolph as her manager (who previously worked for Britney Spears) and left Hollywood Records to sign with RCA -- through which she released Bangerz.

The single from Bangerz is "We Can't Stop." The music video for the song received a mixed reception as it portrayed Miley Cyrus in a more sexual public image.

The second single from Bangerz is "Wrecking Ball." The music video for the ballad was again controversial, as it showed Miley Cyrus fully nude.

There was Miley Cyrus buzz again after her 2013 VMA performance, during which she was seen on stage with Robin Thicke in a performance that included provocative booty-shaking, twerking and tongue.

Most parents FOX6 News spoke with on Sunday night in downtown Milwaukee said they weren't concerned the concert would have a negative impact on their teenage daughters waiting in line for the show.

One parent told FOX6 News Miley "is what she is" -- and said because she stands up for herself, she is the type of role model she wants for her teenage daughter.

"They think she's six years old. She's not anymore. I think it's actually pretty tame for what she could be doing," parent Kimmi Walden said.
