Police say the incident occurred around 2:20 a.m. on Sunday, November 3rd, when officers were sent to meet the victim of a battery at the hospital.

The victim is a 26-year-old man from Sussex, who told officials he was cut when he was struck with a bottle during a fight that happened around 1:15 a.m. at Apartment 720.

The victim identified the suspect as a 24-year-old Milwaukee man. Police have not identified the suspect because he has not been charged.

TMZ is reporting Sanders, who recently signed a $44 million contract with the Bucks was at Apartment 720 when a fight broke out near the VIP room.

According to TMZ, sources with the club say Sanders was walking by the VIP room when Sanders was splashed with champagne from a group celebrating at a nearby table. TMZ says Sanders was familiar with some of the members of the group.

TMZ says Sanders confronted the group about the splash and things escalated quickly. Moments later, according to TMZ, a fight broke out between Sanders and the group.

TMZ says security raced to the scene, but in the melee, Sanders allegedly grabbed a bottle and attacked another patron with it, causing a gash in the other man's head that required several stitches.

TMZ says security broke up the fight and police responded to the club, but Sanders and the other party had left.

Officers and detectives have been interviewing witnesses and gathering evidence to determine the cause of the fight and the involvement of the suspect and the victim.

The investigation will be referred to the Milwaukee County District Attorney's Office in the coming days.

Meanwhile, the Milwaukee Bucks issued the following statement on Wednesday afternoon:
