Packers, Vikings game at Lambeau Sunday ends in a tie, 26-26

GREEN BAY (WITI) -- Scott Tolzien made his first start at Lambeau Field as Packers QB on Sunday, November 24th as the Pack looked to break its three-game losing streak.

Tolzien would experience his first Lambeau leap when he ran for a 6 yard touchdown to put the Packers ahead 7-0 with about 5:00 left in the 1st quarter.

But the Packers defense let the Vikings get too close to Field Goal range and Minnesota's Blair Walsh kicked 2 FG's (a 36 yarder with 1:37 left in the 1st quarter and a 47 yarder with 4:24 left in the half).

But Adrian Peterson would send Minnesota into half time with a 13-7 lead when he ran for a 1 yard TD.

Minnesota would add to that lead in the 3rd quarter with a 12 yard Rhett Ellison catch making it 20-7 Minnesota.

Trailing by 13, the Packers changed up quarterbacks and Matt Flynn entered, playing 4 different quarterbacks in 4 games in a row.

Viking's Walsh added his 3rd FG of the day to start the 4th quarter and the Pack were in the hole 23-7.

But Green Bay would get some momentum. Eddie Lacy ran for a 3 yard touch down (the 2 point conversion failed) and the game was with in 10 (23-13).

Jarrett Boykin then caught a 6 yard touchdown pass from Flynn and the Pack were within 3.

The game was tied up in the fourth quarter following a 27-yard field goal by Mason Crosby with 46 seconds left in the 4th quarter.

The game was tied, 23-23 with 20 seconds left in the fourth quarter -- and the game went into overtime.

At the end of OT, the Packers and Vikings were TIED yet again, 26-26. The final score was a tie.

According to FOX6's Tom Pipines, this is the first Packers tie since a game vs. Denver back in 1987.

Next week, the Packers take on the Atlanta Falcons. That game has been flexed out of its 7:30 p.m. time slot.

The NFL announced on Twitter Sunday night that the game between the Carolina Panthers and the New Orleans Saints would take that spot.

Falcons vs. Packers will now air at 12 p.m. on FOX6!
