GURNEE, Ill. (WITI) — Six Flags Great America unveiled on Thursday, November 21st, the roller coaster car for the newest triple world record-breaking ride, Goliath.

Goliath will be the world’s fastest wooden roller coaster featuring the tallest and steepest drop. It will also be the third wooden roller coaster in the world to go upside down along the course route.

Construction on the giant roller coaster began in September and is slated to open late May.

For those who frequent the park on a regular basis, the ride will be located where Iron Wolf used to be (towards the back of the park near the train station).
