Man found hiding in dumpster after fleeing from police
MILWAUKEE (WITI) -- A 43-year-old man has been arrested after fleeing from deputies during a freeway pursuit and crashing the vehicle into a tree on Thursday morning, November 21st.
The incident took place just before 9:30 a.m. on I-894 near Oklahoma Ave. Eugenio Hernandez was pursued by a deputy after being observed weaving lane to lane and side-swiping a semi.
The driver refused to stop and the deputy was informed that the man was driving a stolen vehicle. Additional deputies responded to assist.
Officials located the vehicle crashed into a tree and abandoned at S. 63rd and Orchard Streets. Witnesses informed deputies that the suspect had fled on foot.

The suspect was taken to Froedtert Hospital after complaining of neck and back pain. A blood draw was taken to determine if the man was intoxicated.
Hernandez has two prior convictions for operating a vehicle without owner's consent. The Sheriff's Office is looking to charge Hernandez with felony charges of recklessly endangering safety and fleeing/eluding officers.
