3 from Milwaukee in custody in connection with robbery

FOND DU LAC CO. (WITI) — Three people from Milwaukee are in custody for their alleged role in an armed robbery and shooting in rural Fond du Lac County early Sunday, December 8th.

Just before 1 a.m. Sunday, officers were called to a home on Double D Rd in the Town of Auburn in southeast Fond du Lac County.

Fond du Lac County Sheriff’s officials say three men went to a home on Double D Road and confronted a 31-year-old man and 34-year-old woman who were sleeping inside the home.

Sheriff’s officials say there were nine other family members sleeping inside the home.

During the armed robbery, Sheriff’s officials say the 34-year-old woman was physically assaulted and the 31-year-old man was punched.

Sheriff’s officials say the victims and suspects were known to each other.

Sheriff’s officials say during the robbery, one of the suspects shot another suspect — a 23-year-old Milwaukee man. The circumstances surrounding the shooting are still under investigation.

The suspects fled the scene and were taken into custody in Hartford.

The 23-year-old Milwaukee man with the gunshot wound was taken to the hospital with serious injuries.

A 20-year-old man and a 22-year-old man were taken into custody.

The investigation is ongoing.
