Local program “Angels For Animals” helping shelter animals

You all know Nicole Koglin has soft spot for animals, especially shelter animals. In fact, Nicole's dog and cat are both rescues. So she was trilled to learn about a local program called "MECA's Angels for Animals" holiday trees.

This holiday season, a fantastic dog named Dusty is hoping for more than a good home. Dusty needs eye surgery, which will cost about $1,500.

Local veterinarian Marla Lichtenberger is working to help shelter animals, like Dusty, one ornament at a time with her "Angels For Animals" holiday giving trees.
