Basketball game between Lancers, Warhawks sold out

BROOKFIELD (WITI) -- If you don't have tickets yet, good luck getting your hands on some for the high school basketball matchup between the Brookfield Central Lancers and Germantown Warhawks.

Tip off is at 7 p.m. in Brookfield on Tuesday, January 14th -- but tickets have been sold out for days. Even so, you could find tickets on... Craigslist?! That's right -- and the asking price is $50 -- all to watch two squads of teenagers square off.

Both Brookfield and Germantown are unbeaten so far this season. Germantown is also riding a 69-game winning streak.

"It's going to be a great game. And hopefully you know, the kids are used to handling the pressure. Obviously some of them have been a part of two state championships. So hopefully they perform well under pressure like they have in the past," said Germantown Athletic Director Jack Klebesadel.

Perhaps adding to the game's anticipation? Bruised feelings from when the teams met last season.

"If we win tonight, I think there'll just be great joy amongst our players because we lost a heartbreaker at the buzzer at their place last year," said Brookfield Central Coach Mark Adams.
