The average-sized litter for boxer dogs is five to seven puppies -- and the highest record set was 15 puppies. Just the other day, Sasha from southeast Bakersfield, California nearly broke the record -- having 14 puppies in a single litter!

We're told one puppy didn't make it, and one is sick -- but the family is trying to nurse it back to health. That leaves 12 healthy and squirmy puppies!

The puppies are getting fed every two hours -- some by Sasha and some by bottle.

The dog's owners say they plan to sell all the puppies except for one.
