Potawatomi Bingo Casino hosts 8th annual Chili Bowl

MILWAUKEE (WITI) -- Potawatomi Bingo Casino on Sunday, January 26th played host to the 8th annual Chili Bowl -- held inside the casino's Expo Center.

There was something for everyone, as over 40 area restaurants made more than 60 different types of chili.

"Chili's good, spicy. There's a lot of different ones. There's ones with like, pineapple, vegetables -- I don't really like beans but that's pretty standard with chili," Bekki Ross said.

"The thing is to bring people out and the competition is for everybody. Everybody likes different styles, different kinds and a little bit of everything," Antonio Esebedo with Senor Sol restaurant said.

More than 1,000 gallons of chili was served, and over 3,500 ballots were cast.

The winners will be announced on Tuesday afternoon, January 28th.
