The Rock seeks approval to build minor league baseball stadium

FRANKLIN (WITI) -- The Milwaukee Business Journal is reporting The Rock Sports Complex in Franklin is seeking approval from the city for a 3,000-seat minor league baseball stadium.

The stadium would cost $7 million to $11 million to build.

An application for the project says The Rock's owners want the city of Franklin to help finance the project.

The stadium would have 2,500 to 3,000 seats, according to a city report. It would include a beer garden.

The Rock’s owners plan to start construction in spring to complete the stadium a year later.

Franklin’s Common Council will review the project during a Thursday, January 30th meeting.
