Train stopped on tracks in Sheb. Co. due to snow drift

SHEBOYGAN COUNTY (WITI) -- Sheboygan County Sheriff's officials say a Wisconsin Central Line freight train was stopped on a stretch of train tracks in Sheboygan County due to a snow drift.

It happened around 9:15 p.m. on Tuesday, January 28th.

Sheriff's officials say the train was stopped south of the Town of Waldo near the Town of Lyndon between Clearview Road and Highway 28.

A conductor noticed the snow drift on the tracks and stopped to avoid driving over it.

The train was stopped on the tracks, waiting for the tracks to be cleared.

No one was injured -- and the train was not impacting traffic.
