Greenfield police seek 3 suspects after robbery of Verizon store



GREENFIELD (WITI) -- Greenfield police on Tuesday night, February 18th were on scene at the Verizon Wireless store near 76th and Layton Ave. following an armed robbery.

A Greenfield police captain tells FOX6 News a call for a robbery in progress came in around 8:12 p.m. Tuesday.

Police say three male suspects entered the store -- and one of the suspects physically assaulted a store employee.

Police say another suspect displayed a gun, and the suspects then proceeded to try to steal money and merchandise from the store.

As the robbery happened, employees and customers were inside the store.

Police are working to determine what was taken from the store -- and are also working on an accurate description of suspects -- who fled the store before police arrived on scene.

The employee assaulted inside the store was treated on scene.
