Two MPS wrestlers finish in top 5 at state tourney

MILWAUKEE (WITI) -- Two Milwaukee Public Schools wrestlers finished in the top five in their weight class at the Wisconsin Interscholastic Athletic Association (WIAA) State Tournament over the weekend – and two MPS boys basketball teams advanced to WIAA sectionals.

Wrestler Mohammed Fall of MPS’ Bradley Technology and Trade School (Bradley Tech) took 2nd place and Justin Folley of MPS’ Riverside University High School finished in 5th place.

In Division 1 boys basketball, MPS’ Rufus King International School – High School Campus advanced to take on Brookfield Central High School. The two teams will play at Brookfield East on Thursday, March 6 at 7 p.m.

In Division 2, the boys team from Bradley Tech advanced to play Pewaukee High School at Greenfield High School, also on Thursday March 6 at 7 p.m.

WIAA girls basketball games begin this week.
