Rock Sports Complex lands rights for minor league baseball team

FRANKLIN (WITI) -- FOX6's partners at The Milwaukee Business Journal report The Rock Sports Complex this month landed the rights for a professional Frontier League baseball franchise, and will ask the city of Franklin to own and help pay for a $10 million stadium for the team.

The Rock CEO Michael Zimmerman said he secured the franchise rights for a Frontier League baseball team for the Milwaukee area in early March. He plans to build an estimated $9 million to $10 million stadium in Franklin with room for up to 3,100 spectators on a portion of The Rock property near S. 76th St. and W. Rawson Ave.
