BloodCenter thanks donors with Mount Olympus passes

MILWAUKEE (WITI) --BloodCenter of Wisconsin is partnering with Mount Olympus Waterpark in Wisconsin Dells to offer a special gift of thanks to blood donors.

Attempting donors will receive a Mount Olympus admission pass for four people that can be used between May 24th and July 2nd, 2014.

Mount Olympus passes will be given to anyone who attempts to donate at community blood drives during the entire month of April, or at any of BloodCenter’s 12 donor center locations  from Friday, April 18th through Saturday, May 3rd.

All area hospitals, including Children’s Hospital of Wisconsin and Aurora St. Luke’s Medical Center, depend on donations from community members to treat patients. Residents in the Milwaukee area can make a life-saving impact for individuals in need.

Donors can schedule an appointment by calling 1-877-BE-A-HERO (1-877-232-4376) or by visiting www.bcw.edu or m.bcw.edu on their mobile device. Appointments are preferred to ensure a quick and convenient donation, but walk-in donors are also welcome.

Anyone 16 or older who is in general good health and meets eligibility requirements is encouraged to donate blood. Parental consent is required for 16-year-olds to donate. The entire process takes about an hour. Donors should bring a photo ID that includes birth date.

Residents can save the day for patients by donating at one of the following Milwaukee-area donor centers:
