Kettle Moraine Lutheran wins Division 3 title

GREEN BAY, Wis. (AP) — Andrea Meinert scored 13 points and pulled down 10 rebounds and Mikayla Voigt added seven points as Kettle Moraine Lutheran beat Neillsville 28-23 in the WIAA Division 3 state championship game.

Jenny Lindner led Neillsville with 13 points.

It was an ugly game all around as Kettle Moraine Lutheran (27-1) shot 7-for-33 from the field and Neillsville (27-1) was a measly 7-for-46.

Kettle Moraine Lutheran had a 13-0 run that gave the Chargers a 16-11 lead in the third quarter.

Neillsville pulled within one to make it 22-21, with 37.4 second remaining in the game.

The Chargers hit 6 of 8 free throws from that point on to take the title.
