MILWAUKEE (WITI) — A city of Milwaukee committee has voted unanimously to approve a $1.2 million financial incentive for the downtown Boston Store and its parent company Bon-Ton Stores Inc.

Under the proposal, Bon-Ton will keep the downtown Boston Store open through January of 2018, and will keep 750 full-time jobs at its corporate offices and Boston Store during that time.

The plan now goes before the full Milwaukee Common Council.
