Three teens arrested for involvement in two strong-armed robberies

MILWAUKEE (WITI) -- Milwaukee Police have arrested three female juveniles following their involvement in two separate strong-armed robberies in District 7.

On Monday, March 24 at approximately 5:40 p.m., a 19-year-old Milwaukee woman was walking in the 2900 block of N. 51st Street when three females punched the victim and took her purse.

Following this crime, the females committed a second robbery, this time outside of St. Joseph’s Hospital in the 5100 block of W. Chambers Street. In this incident, the suspects threw a 46-year-old Milwaukee woman to the ground and took two purses she was carrying.

A short time later, with the help of descriptions of the suspects from the victims and witnesses, Milwaukee Police located and arrested the females in the 2700 block of N. 52nd Street.

Two of the suspects arrested are 16-years-old and the third is 14-years-old. Upon her arrest, one of the 16-year-olds spit in the face of a District 7 officer.

This case will be referred to the Milwaukee County District Attorney’s Office in the coming days.
