Fundraiser at Classic Lanes for families affected by Greenfield apartment fire

GREENFIELD (WITI) -- The Edgewood Home and School Association is holding a fundraiser on Sunday, March 30th at Classic Lanes on W. Layton to benefit families affected by a recent apartment fire in Greenfield.

The fundraiser occurs from 1:00 p.m. to 5:00 p.m. at Classic Lanes -- 5404 W. Layton Avenue.

The fundraiser is a nine-pin bowling tournament with prizes.

Tickets are available at the door, and are $20 for students and $25 for adults. Tickets are available for those not wishing to bowl for $10.

Tickets include pizza, soda, bowling and shoe rental.

A silent auction is planned with "awesome prizes."

Proceeds benefit the families affected by the apartment fire that occurred at a complex in Greenfield back on March 1st.

15 families were left homeless.

The fire broke out in the 7300 block of Southridge Drive.

Officials believe the fire began in the basement.
