Crews work to battle brush fire east of Columbus that began as controlled burn

DODGE COUNTY (WITI) -- Dodge County Sheriff's officials say crews were working to battle a brush fire that broke out east of Columbus.

The call for the fire came in just after 6:00 p.m. on Thursday, April 10th.

The fire began as a controlled burn before it got out of control.

Officials say a shed was completely engulfed in flames, and was destroyed during the fire.

We're told four buildings were on fire. The extent of the damage is unknown at this time.

A Sheriff's official says there doesn't appear to be any injuries.
