Three more shows for 2014 Wisconsin State Fair announced

WEST ALLIS (WITI) -- The music selection for the 2014 Wisconsin State Fair, presented by U.S. Cellular is now even better as officials announce three more shows for the Main Stage presented by Potawatomi.

The 2014 Fair will take place Thursday, July 31 through Sunday, Aug. 10 at Wisconsin State Fair Park.

Actress and recording artist Zendaya will bring her youthful energy to the Fair on Saturday, Aug. 2. The 17-year-old exploded onto the scene in 2013 after finishing as runner-up on Season 16 of “Dancing with the Stars.” Her self-titled debut album, including the hit-single “Replay,” was certified platinum in January. In addition to her tour, Zendaya will star in the Disney Channel Original Movie “Zapped,” which premieres this summer.  known for his roles in the Disney Channel Original Movie “Let It Shine,” and as Young Simba in the Broadway National Tour of Disney’s “The Lion King,” will open the 7 p.m.show. Tickets for the concert will be $35 and $25.

The Happy Together Tour will return to the 2014 Fair with an updated lineup on Sunday, Aug. 3. This year’s show includes The Turtles featuring Flo & Eddie, Chuck Negron formerly of Three Dog Night, Gary U.S. Bonds, Mitch Ryder & The Detroit Wheels and Gary Lewis & The Playboys.The evening will take fans back to the cool rock of the ‘60s, complete with timeless classics and universal hits. The show will begin at 7 p.m. and tickets will be $35 and $25.

The “Queen of Soul” Aretha Franklin will belt out her hits on Tuesday, Aug. 5, including chart-topping, genre-spanning singles like “Respect” and “Chain of Fools.” The 17-time Grammy Award-winning artist is widely regarded as one of the most influential voices in the history of American music, and in 2009 was named the No. 1 Vocalist of All Time by Rolling Stone Magazine. The show begins at 7:30 p.m. and tickets will be $39 and $29.

Tickets for these shows go ON SALE MONDAY, APRIL 21 at 10 a.m. at WiStateFair.com and the Fair Ticket Office. The Ticket Office is located at 7722 W. Greenfield Ave. and is open Monday through Friday, 10 a.m. to 3 p.m. Service fees apply to all online orders and purchasers will have print-at-home or mail-order options.

Kristian Bush of Sugarlandwill join the previously announced and currently on sale Lady Antebellum show on Saturday, Aug. 9 at 8 p.m. Bush is known as one half of dynamic country duo Sugarland, and is widely respected in the music industry as a singer, songwriter and producer. After working with Sugarland’s Jennifer Nettles for several years, Bush is currently writing and recording for his debut solo album, due for release in late 2014.
