Flood Watch for all of FOX6 viewing area through 10 a.m. Monday

MILWAUKEE (WITI) -- The FOX6 Weather team says an additional 1-2 inches of rain will be possible for areas north of Milwaukee later on Sunday, April 13th. Areas south of Milwaukee could see 2 inches or more of rainfall Sunday. The rain is expected late Sunday afternoon -- and is expected to continue overnight.

Areas north of Milwaukee received 2-4 inches of rain on Saturday and Saturday night.

The extra rain expected Sunday has prompted the National Weather Service to issue a flood WATCH for the entire FOX6 viewing area through 10:00 a.m. Monday, April 14th.

This flood WATCH includes the following counties: Dodge, Jefferson, Kenosha, Milwaukee, Ozaukee, Racine, Sheboygan, Walworth, Washington and Waukesha.

There is an increased potential that we could see many rivers and streams approach or exceed the flood stage. Other general low-land flooding is likely. Those living in areas prone to flooding should be prepared to take action should flooding develop.
