At least one of Robin Williams' children wants in on "Mrs. Doubtfire" sequel

MILWAUKEE (WITI) -- A "Mrs. Doubtfire" sequel is in the works -- and at least one of Robin Williams' kids wants in -- according to TMZ.com.

Matthew Lawrence tells TMZ he would love to be a part of the sequel.

It was reported on Wednesday, April 17th that a sequel to the classic 1993 cross-dressing comedy was in the works.

Both Williams and director Christopher Columbus are slated to return, according to TMZ.

TMZ says Mara Wilson, who played the youngest daughter in the film, quickly took to Facebook and Twitter to denounce the project, saying, "For the record, no, I do not have anything to do with the Mrs. Doubtfire sequel, nor will I."

Lawrence played the middle-child Chris in the film. He tells TMZ: "Of course I would be on board. I hope they make the second as good as the first. The first was so good."

Lawrence added: "It will be great to get the family back together."
