FOX6 News wins 3 Regional Edward R. Murrow Awards

MILWAUKEE (WITI) -- The Radio Television Digital News Association (RTDNA) has awarded FOX6 News three Regional Edward R. Murrow Awards for 2014.

The story "Dr. Ripoff" exposed a Milwaukee area podiatrist with a record of cheating patients. It was awarded a "Best Investigative" Murrow award. Those involved in the producing of the story include: FOX6 Investigative Reporter Bryan Polcyn, Photojournalists Jeff Frings, Andy Konkle and Susanne Barthel as well as special projects editor Dave Michuda. The "Best News Series" Murrow award went to FOX6's "Heroin's Deadly Resurgence" series. Those involved in the producing of the story include: FOX6 Investigative Reporters Bryan Polcyn, Stephen Davis, Chief Photojournalist Jim Wilson and special projects editor Dave Michuda.



Lastly, FOX6 Photojournalist Andy Konkle was also awarded a Murrow award in the "Use of sound/video" category. He was the photojournalist who helped reported Mike Lowe tell the story of Joyce Bevan, a woman who married a soldier after World War II and now speaks through her music.
