CHARGED: Man strikes dump truck while driving wrong-way

GREENFIELD (WII) -- A man arrested for driving the wrong-way and causing an accident on westbound I-894 at the S. 76th Street off-ramp on April 29th has been formally charged.

32-year-old Felipe Arriaga is facing two counts of first-degree recklessly endangering safety and one count of second-degree recklessly endangering safety.

According to the criminal complaint, Arriaga entered the expressway eastbound on the westbound 76th off-ramp just before 11:30 p.m.

“We tend to think if a head-on collision is occurring, there might be some impairment of the driver,” Brian Krueger, a heavy equipment operator with the Greenfield Fire Department said.
