Dying wish granted: Boy reconnects with favorite WWE wrestler

In April, a special little boy with a passion for WWE wrestling fulfilled a dream when he was able to attend WrestleMania 30! Three weeks later, the little boy died after a long battle with pediatric brain cancer.

According to FOX6's sister station, FOX8 WGHP, Connor Michelek's favorite wrestler was Daniel Bryan.

As reported by WPXI in Pittsburgh, Michelek (also of Pittsburgh) got to meet his hero back in 2012.

That meeting went a little something like this (as reported by WPXI):

“Where’s the Stone Crusher (a nickname Connor gave himself)?” Daniel asked as he walked through the door.

“That's me,” Connor said in a little voice with a big smile.

Tears filled the eyes of everyone in the room, especially Connor’s parents, Steve Michalek and Brittany Caligiuri.

Daniel and Connor kept in touch over the next two years.

In 2014, at WrestleMania 30, with little Connor Michelek in the audience -- Daniel Bryan won his match.

His father says he was hopeful Bryan might come down and see Connor after his victory -- and what happened next is a moment Connor's father calls "perfect."
