Landt faces 37 felony counts for "cameras in locker room case"



PLEASANT PRAIRIE (WITI) -- 36-year-old Karl Landt — charged in connection with cameras found inside the women’s locker room at the RecPlex and Uline, is back in court Friday afternoon, May 9th and facing more charges.

As he walks into a Kenosha County Courtroom, Friday afternoon, Karl Landt now faces 37 felony counts of capturing an image of nudity without consent.

Landt already faced 11 counts of capturing an image of nudity without consent. The Waukegan, Illinois man is accused of directing his 27-year-old girlfriend, Melissa Wenckebach, to put video cameras inside the women's locker room at the RecPlex in Pleasant Prairie.

Friday morning, Wenckebach was in the same courtroom, where she waives her preliminary hearing on the 11 charges she faces for her alleged role in the videotaping.

"Did you go over that document with Mr. Lahoy? - Yes, I did." During this appearance, the judge allows for negotiations between Wenckebach's attorney, and the prosecution to continue.

Meanwhile, this marks Landt's second court appearance in one week.

Tuesday, May 6th Landt finished posting $50,000 dollars, before the judge raised the bond to $60,000. Having posted the additional money, Landt remains free.

Landt's next scheduled appearance in Kenosha County Court is set for 8:30 a.m., the morning of May 28th.
