Girl kicked out of prom for wearing dress that "evoked impure thoughts"

MECHANICSVILLE, Va (WITI) -- A teenage girl says she was kicked out of a homeschool prom after several fathers at the dance complained that her dress evoked "impure thoughts," according to WWBT.

17-year-old Clare, who is homeschooled, was attending the Richmond Homeschool Prom's "Twilight in Paris" dance when the incident occurred.

According to WWBT, there was one requirement when it came to dressing for the dance: dresses had to be fingertip length.

Clare's family claims the dress met the guidelines.  However, she was told to leave after some of the fathers chaperoning the dance said her dress and dancing was too provocative.

Following the incident, 17-year-old Clare wrote about her experience in a blog -- and the entry has gone viral.
