Shots fired, Mount Pleasant police find one man wounded

MOUNT PLEASANT (WITI) -- A man was shot and wounded in the neighborhood near 22nd and Mead St. in Mount Pleasant on Saturday night, May 24th.

Officers responded to the neighborhood just after 10 p.m. The wounded man was treated for non-life threatening injuries at Wheaton Franciscan Hospital.

This case remains an active investigation. Investigators are following up on leads to help identify all individuals that may have been involved.
