Taken to the hospital: 12-year-old boy falls from pontoon boat in Village of Summit

VILLAGE OF SUMMIT (WITI) -- Village of Summit Police Chief Michael Hartert tells FOX6 News a 12-year-old boy was taken to the hospital for treatment of "very minor injuries" after he fell from a pontoon boat on Sunday afternoon, May 25th.

The boat was apparently cruising on Upper Nemahbin Lake -- and there were 12 people on board.

FOX6 News is told the 12-year-old boy was only in the water for about 30 seconds -- when another person in the pontoon jumped into the water and got him out.

The boy apparently struck the boat's motor.

He was taken to the hospital for treatment of injuries.
