"I thought one of those kids was going to die:" Children in path of fleeing car in Utah

UTAH (WITI) -- Police in Syracuse, Utah were involved in the pursuit of a car on Saturday, May 31st -- and dramatic video sent in by a view of FOX6's sister station, FOX13 News in Salt Lake City shows the car speeding through a park -- nearly hitting children!

FOX13 News reports police eventually took a 14-year-old boy into custody.

The boy reportedly took the vehicle from his grandfather -- and Grandpa reported the vehicle stolen.

Police put out an "attempt to locate" and a tipster spotted the car and notified police...and the chase began.

FOX13 says the driver of a truck intentionally used his truck as a "ram rod" to stop the fleeing vehicle.

According to FOX13, that driver said he took that action to protect his own children -- and other children at the park.
