(CNN) — The NFL has released the logo for Super Bowl 50 — and something is missing!

Notice — there’s no Roman Numerals in the logo!

The NFL decided to stick with the standard Arabic numerals for 50 — rather than the Roman Numeral “L.”

Super Bowl 50 will be played at Levi’s Stadium — the new home of the San Francisco 49ers on February 7th, 2016.

The NFL has been using Roman Numerals since 1971.

They are not disappearing for good.

The NFL says Roman Numerals will return for 2017 game — Super Bowl LI.
