Violent Monday night in Milwaukee: Three shootings before 10:00 p.m., one fatal



MILWAUKEE (WITI) -- Milwaukee police were on the scene of three separate shooting incidents Monday night, June 9th -- one of them a homicide.

The homicide occurred near 13th and Burleigh.

It happened just after 7:00 p.m.

Police say a 20-year-old man was shot and killed -- and a 21-year-old man was taken to the hospital for treatment of his injuries.

Police say the injured victim is in stable condition.

The motive for this shooting is unknown -- and no one is in custody.

A second shooting occurred in the 5000 block of N. Hopkins just before 8:30 p.m.

Police say a 24-year-old man was taken to the hospital for treatment of his injuries.

The motive for this shooting is unknown, and no one is in custody.

A third shooting occurred in the 3100 block of N. Teutonia Avenue.

It happened just before 9:00 p.m.

Police say a 20-year-old man is being treated for non life-threatening injuries at the hospital.

The motive for this shooting is unknown -- and no one is in custody.
