Looking to reach a plea deal: July hearing for man accused in crash that injured Steve "The Homer" True

MILWAUKEE (WITI) -- The man accused of causing a crash that seriously injured Milwaukee radio personality Steve "The Homer" True is looking to reach a plea deal in the case against him.

45-year-old Robert Harris has pleaded not guilty to a felony charge of operating under the influence of a controlled substance, causing injury.

Harris allegedly hit the car of ESPN radio host Steve "The Homer" True in November.

A blood sample from Harris showed the presence of cocaine and oxycodone in his system.

In court on Monday, June 16th, both parties said they are in negotiations and a plea-sentencing hearing was scheduled for July.
