Catch a glimpse: Navy's Blue Angels to fly over Milwaukee Wednesday

MILWAUKEE (WITI) -- Pilots with the U.S. Navy Flight Demonstration Squadron, the Blue Angels, will fly over the city of Milwaukee on Wednesday,
June 18th, for a scheduled team photo shoot. The photo shoot is for the team’s photographers -- but will be visible to the general public.

The Blue Angels will fly the squadron’s six-jet F/A-18 Hornet Delta Formation over Lake Michigan on the eastern side of Milwaukee at approximately 250 knots. A seventh jet will be flying abreast of the formation to photograph the Delta with the city in the background.

The photo shoot will take place between 1:30 and 2:20 p.m. CDT.

The Blue Angels are scheduled to fly in 68 performances at 35 locations in 2014 and 64 performances at 34 locations in 2015 throughout North America. That includes the Milwaukee Air and Water Show which is scheduled for Saturday, June 21st and Sunday, June 22nd (10 a.m. - 4 p.m. daily).
