Second line of severe storms swept across parts of state, triggering tornado warnings

SOUTHERN WISCONSIN (WITI) -- A second major line of severe storms swept across southern Wisconsin Wednesday morning, June 18th. This storm triggered a Tornado Warning for Dane and Jefferson counties in southern Wisconsin, but no touchdown was reported.

Multiple trees and power lines were down from La Crosse to Madison to the Milwaukee metro area due to strong winds.

Tree and minor house damage is reported in northern Dane County along with multiple trees down in Cottage Grove and Madison’s west side.

Fortunately no major damage or injuries are reported at this time.

The National Weather Service now confirms six tornadoes touched down across southern Wisconsin during the late evening and early morning hours of June 16-17, 2014.
