“We have 60,000 square feet of tents:" Lakefront Festival of Art takes place June 20-22

MILWAUKEE (WITI) -- The 52nd Annual Lakefront Festival of Art will take place this weekend, June 20-22, rain or shine!

Organizers and artists spent Friday morning getting the grounds along the lakefront set up, and the artists moved in to the tents for the weekend.

176 artists will be showing off talents that range from painting, to photography to jewelry and other wearable art. Accompanying the art- will be live music, food and wine and beer. Plus there will be a tent for kids to enjoy activities at as well.

A spokesperson for the Art Museum says it has rained at least one day during the festival every year, so if that happens again this year, they say it won't be a problem.

“We have 60,000 square feet of tents. So even it does rain this weekend which I am sure it will, you can come down, experience the art, and be dry,” said Kristin Settle, Spokesperson for Milwaukee Art Museum.

The Lakefront Festival of Art runs Friday from 10-10, Saturday from 10-7, and Sunday from 10-5.

Adult tickets are $17, kids 12 and under get in free, as well as veterans, active military and Wisconsin teachers. For more ticket pricing information, you can go to http://lfoa.mam.org/buy-tickets.
