A "selfie" from beyond the grave? Romanian woman claims her dead grandmother has contacted her

MILWAUKEE (WITI) -- A Romanian woman is claiming the ghost of her dead grandmother took a "selfie" on her phone to warn her she was being punished in the afterlife.

This, according to the Daily Mail.

34-year-old Gina Mihai claims that when she turned on her phone -- she saw her dead grandmother with a snake around her neck.

"When I switched the phone on I was horrified to see my dead grandmother's face. She had what looked like a snake around her neck, and the whole image looked as if it had been taken through a hole, like it was shot through a tear in the fabric that separates the living from the dead," Mihai told the Daily Mail.

Mihai says a fortune teller told her it was a message -- meaning her grandmother was being punished in the afterlife, but could be saved with prayer.

Once a year there is a feast, the service of alms, in which Romanians travel to the graveyard and hand over food as a gesture to the spirits in the afterlife. The food is eventually given to the poor.

Mihai has apparently not given food for three years -- which is why she has received this message.

Her family and members of her church have been praying about her grandmother and the photo ever since.
