Some of the best volleyball in the world -- right here in Milwaukee this Fourth of July weekend!

MILWAUKEE (WITI) -- Some of the best volleyball in the world -- right here in Milwaukee this holiday weekend!

Bradford Beach played host to the AVP Pro Beach Volleyball Tournament.

Milwaukee was stop number two for this year's tour.

Before Milwaukee -- the tour stopped in St. Petersburg, Florida.

The tournament made a stop in Milwaukee for the first time since 1998.

Olympic stars, like three-time Gold Medalist Kerri Walsh Jennings, Olympic Gold Medalists Phil Dalhausser and Todd Rogers and Olympians April Ross, Sean Rosenthal and Jake Gibb.

Also on hand -- local volleyball standouts.

Not surprisingly, the matches at Bradford Beach get pretty crowded!

"Milwaukee is a great city for an event like this because the city embraces the event itself and Milwaukee is a huge town for volleyball -- beach volleyball especially. Bringing it here is sort of like bringing it home to the Midwest," AVP head referee John King said.

The AVP Pro Beach Volleyball Tournament continues Sunday.

After Milwaukee, the AVP Pro Beach Volleyball Tournament heads to Salt Lake City, Utah.
