Latest: Police call bomb threats made to Walgreens in West Bend a hoax

WEST BEND (WITI) -- Officials report that a caller has made a second bomb threat against the Walgreens store in West Bend. The store is currently being investigated.

Officials say that on Friday, July 25, at about 4:00 p.m., the Walgreens store at 1720 W. Washington St. in West Bend received a threatening phone call indicating that an explosive device was placed in the store. The caller said there was another explosive device across the street in the Fleet Farm Store, 1637 W. Washington St.

Both Walgreens and Fleet Farm were evacuated and searched but officials did not find any devices. Both stores re-opened for business about 30 minutes later.

The Plymouth Police Department is investigating a similar incident at a Walgreens in their city, which occurred about 30 minutes prior to the call to the West Bend Walgreens.

Both cities and police departments are working together in an investigation. No one is in custody at this time.
