Milwaukee police: Two shot, injured in two separate shooting incidents; no suspects in custody

MILWAUKEE (WITI) -- Milwaukee police are investigating two non-fatal shootings that occurred early Wednesday morning, August 6th.

According to police, a 46-year-old woman from Milwaukee was shot in the 2600 block of N. 5th Street at 1 a.m.

The victim tells police that she was walking in the area when she heard the sound of gunshots and felt pain to her ankle.

The victim realized that that he had been shot and was conveyed to the hospital for treatment.

The investigation is ongoing and there are no suspects in custody.

Police say a 47-year-old Milwaukee man was shot in the 1800 block of W. Meinecke at about 1:30 a.m.

The circumstances surrounding the shooting remain unclear.
