Sheriff's officials: Driver at large following incident involving three stolen vehicles, pursuit

FOND DU LAC COUNTY (WITI) -- Fond du Lac County Sheriff's officials say an individual remains at large -- following an incident involving three stolen vehicles and a pursuit that occurred on Saturday, August 9th.

Sheriff's officials say just before 10:30 p.m., the Fond du Lac County Communications Center took a report of a reckless driver.

Within minutes, a Sheriff's deputy tried stopping a vehicle matching the description of the reckless driver's vehicle.

A pursuit ensued, as the vehicle continued southbound on State Highway 175.

Sheriff's officials say the pursuit ended when the vehicle lost control and went into a ditch in Dodge County.

The pursuit lasted approximately 11.5 miles.

Sheriff's officials say this vehicle was determined to have been stolen from the city of Berlin.

Sheriff's officials say the driver fled on foot -- and proceeded to take a second vehicle in the area.

That second vehicle was eventually located by Sheriff's officials in the Township of Oakfield.

The Fond du Lac County Sheriff's Office took a report for a third stolen vehicle from the Township of Oakfield.

This vehicle was then observed in Dodge County.

The driver is still at large, according to Sheriff's officials.

No injuries were reported.
