"We're always excited for the race:" IndyFest welcomes racing fans from around the country

WEST ALLIS (WITI) -- The State Fair grounds in West Allis saw a lot of action this weekend -- when racing fans from all over the country came to take part in IndyFest.

Before Sunday's 225-mile race got started, racing fans flooded the infield of the Milwaukee Mile. Dylan Bradley is a third generation of fathers and sons taking in the sights and sounds.

"We're always excited for the race and we're counting down the days," said Bradley.

"I started coming here when I was 16, so this is probably my 70th year of racing," said John Bradley, Dylan's grandfather.

Dylan isn't old enough to drive an Indy car, so he caught his thrills on the bumper cars. But one day, he hopes to be in the fast lane.

"I've been seeing the 2-seater cars go by and just think 'I want to do that one day,'" said Dylan.

Before Sunday's race, drivers took a pit stop at fan village. It made the day extra special for dedicated fans who have the need for speed -- and don't mind the noise.
